I am an academic (Prof. of Linguistics at the Humboldt University, Berlin) who spends a lot of time thinking about environmental issues. Since the global heating gains speed and its effects are clearly visible now, I decided to set up this blog. It allows me to discuss issues with my colleagues (which is sort of impossible on twitter) and it is also supposed to be some way to organize my findings and knowledge in a way that makes it more usable for me and allows sharing and discussing it with others.

I hope it will be a contribution to saving the world.
